In 2009, the Sun and Surf Classic held in fabulous Del Mar, California won a GoHorseShow.com “Best Of” award for Best Overall Horse Show Experience. We are pleased to say that this year’s show held April 8-13 did not disappoint! Clay MacLeod put on another great show, yet again, and we have candids and results to prove it! “We had people come as far as Texas and Colorado and everyone said they can’t wait to come back next year,” said MacLeod. “The show is so relaxed and laid back. There were a couple parties that people really seemed to enjoy. We didn’t go later than 5 o’clock any day which allows everyone to get out and go to the beach or Sea World or any of the great restaurants in the area.”
Another big hit with the exhibitors were the awards. Fourteen saddles including 4 from Blue Ribbon were given. Circuit awards in each performance class were a beautiful buckle and reserve were saddle pads from Harris Leather.
Judges were Jeff Mellott, Scott Neuman, Lisa Krohn, Bruce Walquist, Stephanie Lynn and Mike Hawkins.
