Candids and Results from the OQHA Spring Show in OKC

The OQHA Spring Show was held March 24-28 at the State Fair Park facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The show was two split combined shows with the Amateur & Youth classes (except roping) held on Saturday/Sunday. Lauren Halvorson took time during her very busy all-around schedule to take candids from the horse show – thank you Lauren! We have results as well provided by Carol and Don Moore of Mane-Events.

Jackie Krshka was very encouraged about the show and told GoHorseShow.com, “The show will end up with somewhere around 5,000 entries. It was a great show, which ran very timely. Trainers and owners were elated to be done in time for a nice dinner. The modified schedule certainly worked for all. Roping entries were up from the Prairie Classic, as the weather finally allowed those trainers to get their horses prepared. On a very positive note as well, there was no incident of vandalism at the Fairgrounds, as Oklahoma Quarter Horse Assn. beefed up security by having a strong Police presence during the show. This is something that will be continued through the Redbud Spectacular.”
