The 65-acre North San Diego County property is just two miles from the Del Mar Racetrack and the Pacific Ocean. This exceptional facility hosted two of five rounds of the selection trials for the United States Equestrian Team’s 2000 Olympic squad, a first-time event for the West Coast. Blenheim EquiSports hosted the other three West Coast rounds in San Juan Capistrano. True to form, the Del Mar Horse Park accommodated competitors, crowds, corporate sponsors and the media with ease.

Banks surrounding the big field host generous VIP areas, grandstands, vendor spaces and sponsor tents. Ample grassy areas give visitors and competitors plenty of space to roam and relax between events. Inviting vendor areas are spread throughout the property’s main thoroughfares. The Del Mar Horse Park features professional on-site catering, equipment rental, security, R.V. hook-ups, ample parking and easy freeway access. Competition amenities include a meticulously groomed 275’ by 375’ grand prix field, surrounded by 1,400 permanent spectator seats. The field’s bank and “grob” make it a favorite site for spectacular jumping derbies, in which horse and riders tackle terrain and obstacles rarely found on the West Coast. Additional competition areas include a second grass field, four sand rings and a lighted indoor arena. The event facility can accommodate 1,200 horses.

San Diego’s beautiful beaches are a short drive away, while fine dining, sightseeing and shopping opportunities abound in nearby Del Mar and La Jolla. Sea World and the aquatic mecca of Mission Bay are also close by. The San Diego area also offers world class golf and tennis, along with a host of other recreational areas.
