AQHA Leading Dam, Goodbars Glamourgirl, Passes

We are sad to report that AQHA leading dam, Goodbars Glamourgirl (GG), has passed away. The 22-year-old grey mare was by Zippos Mr Good Bar and out of Mitos Magic Moment. GG was bred by Bryan Fix of Runnels, Iowa and was owned by Tim and Barb Delf of Blue Grass, Iowa at the time of her passing.

“It breaks my heart to report the death of Goodbars Glamourgirl. Those who know us know what she meant to Barb and me. What I think set her apart from other great dams was her conformation,” Delf told us. “Her offspring have amassed nearly 900 points in the halter classes alone. They are also all good lopers and lead changers. She produced great all-around horses that seemed to be able to find jobs.”

According to Delf, GG is the all-time leading mare crossed with Invitation Only. So far, this cross has amassed over 2,800 points alone. In entirety, her offspring have accumulated over 5,000 points and multiple World and Congress Championships. GG (pictured right) was never shown due to an injury. “She was a real quiet, sweet mare that loved to hang out with her buddies,” Delf shares.

Some of her famous offspring include Congress and World Champion, Cool Assets (her first foal) that won the AQHA World in both the hunter under saddle and western riding, as well as 2016 Novice Amateur Showmanship Champion, Oops Im Good and Congress and World Champion, Only Temptation. Some of her other outstanding offspring include All The Good Details, Hard Assets, Good As Always, Nothin Compares, Only A Glamourgirl, and Lazy Lookin Lady.

“Thank you to all the owners and trainers who helped her become one of AQHA’s leading dams,” Delf states. “She will be missed.”
