Troy Lehn Wins His First Western Congress Championship in Junior Trail For Owner Alexandra Chavez

Congratulations to Troy Lehn, for owner Alexandra Chavez, who dominated  the Junior Trail with an astounding score of a 239, seven points more than the Reserve Champion. Troy was aboard five-year-old, A Chrome Cookie, affectionately known as Rocky, a double registered AQHA/APHA gelding by RL Best Of Sudden out of A Good Cookie. Last year, Rocky won the Green Trail at the APHA Paint World.

This win is Troy’s first Western Congress Championship. Last year, he won his first Congress Championship in the Two Year-Old Limited Open Hunter Under Saddle with Pretty Assets for Alexandra Chavez.

“We just had a very beautiful go,” Lehn told us under the tarp in the Celeste. The weather at the Congress is unpredictable, and today, it is cold and rainy with wind whipping through the alleyway. Rocky handled it all in stride.

“He took every step just right today,” Troy said. “He is a show horse and loves to be in the spotlight. It is amazing to be able to ride such amazing horses for Alexandra, and I’m thankful she has such faith in me. I am so glad I was able to represent her in the way that she deserved.”

Chavez adds, “Troy just does a great job and he had a very beautiful ride today. I am very proud of him and Rocky.”
