Rock Candids, Rundown and All Around Winners from Gordyville Shootout

The Gordyville Shows held by the Hannagan girls are synonymous with fun and family. The 25th annual Gordyville Shootout show featured six judges and great prizes that ran July 15 through the 18th in Gifford, Illinois. The judges for the show were Deborah Kail, Ryan Kail, Terry Thompson, Holly Hover, Chris Jeter and Laura Gilmer. There were six sets of points offered with over 4200 entries for the show that featured nice size classes and deep competition.

There were three shootout classes this year: showmanship, western pleasure and the newly added trail. Exhibitors are eligible for the shootout classes if they have placed first or second at a Gordyville show in one of these classes throughout the year.

The showmanship shootout had 38 entries which featured a very hard and detailed pattern with multiple turns, backs, and trotting a square. The winner of the class was Chayna DeNicolo and her horse, OneHot Shade Of Gray. DeNicolo told us that one of the items on her bucket list was to win this class, and she was very emotional after winning the class. Nicole Barnes was reserve with her horse, Gettin Some Action.

For the shootout win, DeNicolo won a custom silver halter donated by Gordyville and Pards Western Shop, a Gordyville Wine Box, a Gordyville Champion Horse Sheet, a $50 Closet Space Gift Certificate, a Gordyville Horse Slinky, and a full page GoMag ad donated by GoHorseShow.

The western pleasure shootout champion was Good Going Danika and Karen Boxell. Boxell won a custom silver buckle, a Gordyville Wine Box, Closet Space Gift Certificate, horse sheet, horse slinky, and a full page GoMag ad donated by GoHorseShow.

This was the first time they offered a shootout for the trail. The trail champion was Marcia Kramer Smith with her horse, Investinalookatme. She also received a custom made Gordyville buckle and various other great prizes.

The Hannagan girls put on a great show and we would like to congratulate them on being inducted into the NSBA Hall of Fame.
