Capall Creek Farm Purchases NSBA World Champion WithoutYouAlBeBlue

GoHorseShow would like to congratulate Kevin and Amy Smith of Capall Creek Farm on the purchase of WithoutYouAlBeBlue (Beretta). The gorgeous gray three year-old mare was owned by Kim Wright of Scottsdale, Arizona. Last year, Amateur Courtney Brockmueller leased her and showed in the hunter under saddle events.

“I am very thankful to Nancy Sue Ryan and Courtney for the awesome job they have done with Beretta, and I will always be grateful,” Wright told us. “I would also like to express best wishes to Amy on her future success with Beretta.”

WithoutYouAlBeBlue was bred by Nancy Sue Ryan and is by Allocate Your Assets and out of GotTheBluesInMySky. Her dam is by Skys Blue Walker and produced Al Bet Cha, who is a two-time NSBA Reserve World Champion and multiple Top 5 placer as well as Lukes Best in Blue who was Top 5 at the AQHA World Show. Amy and Kevin bought the mare in foal with Beretta and then sold her to Kim Wright as a yearling. Luckily, the couple was able to buy her back.

amy smithNancy Sue Ryan, who bred the mare states, “Beretta is a breathtaking mare that intrigues total strangers that come up and ask about her. Amy and Beretta together again made so much sense, not only for the show aspect but also for the Smith’s breeding program. They have Beretta’s dam and Iron Enterprise so, it is going to be an exciting time for Amy and Capall Creek Farm.”

This year, Nancy Sue bred Beretta to Iron Enterprise and is expecting a 2017 baby out of the cross. “I’m very excited to see that foal as you can imagine,” Amy says.

Brockmueller adds, “I love when deserving things come full circle. A mare as special as Beretta deserves the happily ever after and she will certainly have that with Amy and Kevin.”

WithoutYouAlBeBlue is currently leading the nation in Amateur Hunter Under Saddle and is also the 2015 NSBA World Champion in the Non Pro Two Year-Old Hunter Under Saddle, NSBA Res. World Champion BCF Non Pro Two Year-Old Hunter Under Saddle (tied to win). This year, Beretta and Brockmueller were two-time Florida Gulf Coast Circuit Champions in Amateur and Junior Hunter Under Saddle, Fun In The Sun Three Year-Old Hunter Under Saddle Futurity Champion, and The Madness Three Year Open Hunter Under Saddle Futurity Champion.

amy“I would like to thank Kim Wright for allowing me to purchase this great filly back,” Amy states. “I’m excited to show her and to have my daughter, Paige, also have the opportunity to show her in a couple of years. Then, she will be retired to our broodmare band where she can carry on her mother’s legacy by producing great offspring.”

Amy continues, “I’d also like to thank Courtney Brockmueller for all her time, knowledge and passion she put into Beretta. She’s a horse that you can tell has been loved very much. Thank you to Nancy Sue Ryan for her kind words, advice, and for being such a great friend to both Kevin and myself. Lastly, to Kevin. Thank you for wanting me to have the best. You believe in me and help me to move forward even when I don’t always believe. I’m forever grateful for your love and support.”

Amy’s husband, Kevin adds, “I am so proud of Amy for all the hard work she puts in chasing her dreams. She is an amazing wife and mother and so deserving of owning such a special horse.”
