Longtime AQHA Hunter Trainer and Breeder Susan Clune Passes

GoHorseShow is sad to report the unexpected passing of longtime AQHA hunter breeder and trainer Susan Clune of Edmond, Oklahoma. She was 66 years-old.

According to multiple reports, on Saturday morning, she woke up not feeling well and drove herself to the hospital. A witness saw Clune collapse in the hospital parking lot and called for help but a heartbeat could not be reestablished.

The results of her autopsy revealed that she suffered a heart attack.

Clune was known for training some of the top hunters in the industry and also stood hunter stallions, Encoriva and Louisiana Saturday Nite. Clune had Congress winners including Pasley Puthoff, Moira Murty and Lacy Watson.

Our sympathy goes out to her family and friends during this difficult time.

Her funeral is scheduled for Sunday, 2pm at Baggerley Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma.
