The second Sunday of May has become the most popular day of the year to dine out, and telephone lines record their highest traffic, as sons and daughters everywhere take advantage of this day to honor and express appreciation for their mothers. As author Mildred B. Vermont said, “Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs in my field since the payment is pure love.”
Most horse show enthusiasts would agree that horse show moms are on a whole other level when it comes to being great at their jobs as mothers. Horse show moms are cheerleaders, grooms, truck drivers, vets, teachers, best friends, therapists and confidants. And mothers help shape us all into the person we are today…both in and out of the show pen.
