About the Cover
Makin Me Willy Wild continues to cement his place as one of the most influential young sires in the western performance industry, delivering another standout year, both in the show pen and the sale ring.
For the second consecutive year, the 2015 black stallion owned by Debbi Trubee and Roger Landis, was named the High Selling Stallion at the Congress Super Sale, a distinction that speaks volumes about buyer confidence. Six of Makin Me Willy Wild’s foals sold with an impressive average just under $20,000, proving once again that consistency, quality, and market demand follow this sire wherever his offspring go. Congratulations to the breeders and buyers of his foals, the cream truly does rise to the top.
The 2025 All-American Quarter Horse Congress showcased exactly why his foals are so sought after. Wild Cardd captured two Congress Championships, winning the Limited Maturity Western Pleasure and the $10,000 Limited Horse Limited Rider with Clay Arrington. Makin Me Happy continued to impress, earning the Congress Championship in Amateur Western Riding, highlighting the rideability and longevity that define this impressive sire line.
In the longe line pen, Wicked Wilma dominated the competition, claiming Congress Championships in both Open and Non-Pro Western Longe Line, while also winning the Super Sires and Southern Belle Breeders programs. On the English side, Wanna Cruze added Reserve Congress Championships in both the L1 Hunter Under Saddle and L1 Amateur Hunter Under Saddle, demonstrating the versatility and adaptability of Makin Me Willy Wild offspring across disciplines.
One of the most exciting developments this year has been the success of his younger foals in western events. Known for producing big, full-strided horses with a signature front leg, he has offspring maturing into their movement, showing exceptional self-carriage, balance, and presence. As they age, many are beginning to shine in Western Riding, following in the footsteps of his oldest foal, Makin Me Happy.
Standing to the public since 2019, Makin Me Willy Wild has quickly proven himself as a true breeding stallion, passing on conformation, balance, and an innate ability to carry themselves naturally.
Standing at North Farm, the 2026 breeding book is now open with fees set at $3,250 ($3,000 for show and producer clients) and $2,750 for past MMWW customers. He is subscribed to all major incentive programs.
