Charlie’s Last Ride
Published on: November 18, 2025
Produced by: Keagan Phillips & Lucy Geweke
When GoHorseShow exclusively broke the news that industry icon Charlie Cole of Highpoint Performance Horses would retire from the show pen following the 2025 AQHA World Show, that announcement stood on its own as the #1 moment of the year. But…the story didn’t end there.
Taking it one step further, our Media Director, Keagan Phillips, and Media Manager, Lucy Geweke captured Charlie’s final class at the AQHA World Show with a level of artistry and emotion that set an entirely new standard. Through their lens, a lifetime of dedication, excellence, and influence was frozen in time and that moment became more than news, it became history.
GoHorseShow’s #1 moment of 2025 is not only a powerful tribute to one of the greatest horsemen the industry has ever known, but also a reflection of the heart and talent behind our media team. Topping all of our coverage, stories, news and announcements, which received tens of millions of views across all of our media platforms throughout the year, here is GoHorseShow’s #1 moment of 2025. Masterson Farms, LLC Announces the Passing of RL Best Of Sudden
Published on: June 2, 2025
Written by: Masterson Farms, LLC
Unfortunately, as extraordinary as 2025 was for the horse show world, not every monumental moment was one of celebration. When Ken and Marilyn Masterson announced the passing of RL Best Of Sudden, it sent shockwaves through the industry. Our hearts remain broken for them and everyone who loved, showed, bred and believed in this legendary sire. “BO” was more than a name in a pedigree, he was a once-in-a-lifetime stallion whose influence lives on through his countless offspring and the people whose lives he touched. The legacy he leaves behind is impossible to measure or fully put into words, making this our #2 moment of the year.

October 2025 Congress Issue of GoMag
Published on: October 1, 2025
We’ve been publishing our digital magazine, GoMag, for more than 17 years. From the very beginning, we introduced the concept of a digital magazine to the horse show industry and we’ve delivered a new issue every month since. That’s 211 issues and counting. It’s no secret that our October issue is consistently the largest and most-read issue of the year. Yet, despite producing a yearly Top 10 to reflect on special industry moments, we’ve never included a GoMag issue, until now. Every issue of GoMag generates substantial traffic, accumulating tens of millions of total page views throughout the year. So what makes this one different? Quite simply, this year’s October issue is the most-read issue in GoMag history. That level of readership means exceptional exposure for our incredible advertisers and reinforces what we’ve always known…The Best Prefer GoMag. While traditional print magazine readership continues to decline worldwide, GoMag’s audience continues to grow, making this achievement our #3 moment of the year.

Equestrian Dance Moves to Try at Your Next Party
Published on: November 6, 2025
Produced by: Keagan Phillips & Lucy Geweke
Apparently dancing reels were a bit of a GoHorseShow trend in 2025. At the NSBA World, we had “From the Arena to the Dance Floor” and of course the wildly popular “Macarena – Even the Horses Know” which went viral globally and has received an astounding 7.2 MILLION views to date. And, although the Macarena should have probably been #1 by a landslide just based on clicks alone, “Equestrian Dance Moves to Try at Your Next Party” from the AQHA World Show just hit different. The creativity and participation level was off the charts and that’s why it’s our #4 moment of the year.

AQHYA World Show Edition
Published on: August 2, 2025
Produced by: Keagan Phillips
We LOVE our advertisers! And we really love showcasing them in as much of our online media as possible, be that at the shows or otherwise. So, when our super-creative media team pitched a Youth World spin on the popular “What’s in Your Fridge?” trend, the who’s who of the youth horse industry stepped up and had a blast with it. The result? A wildly popular reel that helped kick off this year’s AQHYA World Show and became our #5 moment of the year.

Cheers to That: London Nietzer Purchases Only Martinis For Me from Klay McDowall
Published on: December 5, 2025
Written by: Megan Rechberg
As you may have noticed, and as we’ve mentioned, GoHorseShow’s reach within the show horse community is unmatched. Because of that influence, we receive countless requests throughout the year to share industry news. While we definitely reserve these features for our valued clients, announcements involving new horse and rider teams are consistently among the most requested, and most read. But, when one of the top exhibitors, under the guidance of one of the most respected trainers, acquires one of the most dominant all-around horses from another elite program, the result is more than reach…it sends shockwaves through the horse world. Although we announced it just weeks ago, London Neitzer, showing under the guidance of Clint Ainsworth Performance Horses, purchasing Only Martinis For Me from Klay McDowall has already become the #6 moment of the year.

It’s no secret the GoHorseShow media team is the best in the business. Look no further than our number of views, reactions, and comments across all of our platforms and it’s easy to see that there really isn’t even a close second place when it comes to the reach we have within the horse show industry. So, it’s no wonder that we get asked all the time how we do it. What makes up our secret sauce? Our #7 moment of the year was just such an example. This work of art from the Congress was the result of the perfect idea, song, footage and editing, but most importantly, flawless execution by the best media team in the horse industry.

The beginning of the horse show vs…
the end
Published on: August 17, 2025
Produced by: Keagan Phillips & Lucy Geweke
We all know the feeling…brimming with excitement when the horse show begins and completely exhausted by the end. At this year’s NSBA World Show, Shannon Walker and daughter, Mallory Vroegh nailed that sentiment for all of our readers. Not sure if it was their acting skills or Keagan’s and Lucy’s editing skills, but it was a social media moment that resonated with everyone enough to make it the #8 moment of the year.

All About Timing: Tips for Determining When a Young Horse is Ready to Debut – with Aaron Moses
Published on: March 28, 2025
Written by: Megan Rechberg
GoHorseShow basically wrote the book (no pun intended) on insightful, online, horse show related articles since the day we launched in 2008. With access to the industry’s most accomplished professional horsemen and women, articles with tips from top trainers are something we pride ourselves on and something our readers clearly covet as they are some of the most read articles on our website. When professional trainer Aaron Moses sat down with our extremely talented Lead Journalist, Megan Rechberg, and so eloquently offered his advice to a common conundrum, it topped them all. The response was so strong that it earned the #9 spot on our list of top moments of 2025.

POV: Sisters Win 1st and 2nd in the 15-18 Horsemanship at the Congress
Published on: October 20, 2025
Produced by: Keagan Phillips & Lucy Geweke
It’s quite an accomplishment to win a class at the Congress. It’s another thing to win one of the toughest classes at the Congress. But, two members of the same family placing 1st and 2nd in one of the most competitive classes at the Congress? Well, that is on a whole other level. And it’s exactly what happened when sisters Allie and Maddie Rippeon placed 1st and 2nd in the highly-competitive 15-18 Horsemanship at this year’s Congress. This unprecedented, milestone accomplishment, so brilliantly captured by our uber-talented media team, was our #10 moment of the year.
