Dear MQHA Members and Dixie National Exhibitors,
MQHA has enjoyed a long history, approximately 60-year association, with the Dixie National Livestock Show & Rodeo. We have worked for decades to produce one of the top 5 Quarter Horse Shows in the country in conjunction with a major livestock show, helping to bring economic benefit to the Jackson, MS area. Nevertheless, we were unable to come to an agreement with the Mississippi State Fairgrounds and the Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo managements to achieve acceptable contract terms for the year 2026 that would allow for the logistics needed to host the show, including the logistics associated with the warm-up areas, and for DNQHS to remain financially viable.
After much discernment of the Dixie National Quarter Horse Show Committee, along with the MQHA Board of Directors, we regret to inform you the Dixie National Quarter Horse Show will not be produced for 2026. It is the intent of the Mississippi Quarter Horse Youth Association to continue to produce and support the Equestrians with Disabilities Show (EWD), of which the dates are February 10-11, 2026. We appreciate your support of this event throughout the years, and in the meantime, we hope to see you at one of our upcoming weekend shows.
