1. I’m a data scientist who studies healthcare claims data to ensure health plans are performing at their highest level and members get access to the highest-quality care for the lowest cost. My company is very progressive and often impacts government legislation around patients’ rights.

2. I’m the youngest of five and the only redhead in my immediate family. In our family, the redhead gene skips generations and always goes boy, girl. So my grandfather and his grandmother had red hair, etc.

3. I love baking and the Great British Bake Off. My sister and I love to recreate the challenges, and I even competed in baking competitions as a kid.

4. I’m a yoga instructor. I conned my sister into getting her license so she could substitute for my classes when I’m away at horse shows.

5. I played competitive travel basketball and ran track through high school.

6. As an undergrad, I studied physics and integrative medicine and was often the only girl in all my classes. Then, I completed my master’s degree in healthcare administration.

7. After finishing my master’s degree, I started working in political fundraising, representing all Republican members of the Ohio House of Representatives.

8. Because I’m from Ohio and a fan of food, I created a food blog for all of my recommendations of restaurants. I post restaurants in Columbus for those attending the Quarter Horse Congress and all major horse shows nationwide. @WhereInTheWorldIsSarahEating

9. When I was seven, I helped my dad build our barn, which my horses still stay in, and the fence for my arena and pastures, which we still use today.

10. My great-grandparents were founding members of the Illinois Quarter Horse Association and operated a large breeding facility in Bloomington, Illinois.
