About the Cover
Nancy Ditty and her new stallion, Hypnotizzed (Brady) are pictured on the cover of the May Fashion Issue of GoMag. The stunning 2022 stallion is by No Doubt Im Lazy and out of HP Surely Im Sleepy. “From the first moment I saw him, I knew I had to have him,” Ditty told us. “His natural movement and outstanding good looks immediately caught my attention, but his pedigree truly sealed the deal. With his exceptional bloodlines, Hypnotizzed offers a fresh, much-needed option for various mares. I genuinely feel he is exactly what our industry has been waiting for, and I’m beyond excited for his future.”
Katie Green will show Brady this year in the Three-Year-Old Futurities. “Katie and I have had many successes as a team. We have a great friendship and mutual respect. I see how hard Katie works, and she deserves all the success that comes her way. I’m very excited about the fun times ahead. He’s the stallion I believe can make a difference in the industry,” says Nancy.
Brady was bred and raised by HP Ranch; Joe Prause and Mary Anne Harrington. “When I first spoke to Joe and Mary Anne, it was clear how much love and respect they had for Brady’s dam, who had recently passed away at a young age. They spoke so highly of her – both as a remarkable show mare and as a beloved member in their program,” Ditty told us. “I truly hope to honor their pride and trust with our path for Hypnotizzed moving forward. As a small breeder, I deeply understand the bond you build with the mares in your program and how their spirit lives on through their offspring. It’s a special connection, and I feel fortunate to be a part of his story.”
May is fashion month at GoHorseShow, and Nancy likes to tell a story with her show clothes as demonstrated with a Kevin Garcia Originals shirt as a tribute to Forever Twisted, fondly known as Pretzel. “This is a special shirt because of the pretzels designed in the sleeves to honor Pretzel. He made my dreams a reality by winning the AQHA World Show in November with the help of Rusty and Katie Green. Pretzel’s story is always close to my heart.”
Ditty adds, “The colors we worked together, but I never get in the way of their design. I have complete confidence in their vision.”
Nancy’s choice of green and yellow colors for Hypnotizzed also holds a special meaning for her. They take her back to her roots, to the colors of Haylo Farm.
“I believe fashion is a powerful way to express yourself and feel good in what you wear. By wearing pretzels to honor Pretzel and embracing the colors that represent where I come from, I feel like I’m making the most meaningful fashion statement possible,” she says.
“While the colors and style I chose have personal meaning, my appreciation extends far beyond just one designer or brand. Having been a part of this industry for so long, I have immense respect for all the incredible vendors who have helped shape the fashion and style of our industry. Their passion and craftsmanship are what make our community so special.”
Making a memorable cameo in Nancy’s cover story is her beloved Basset Hound, Dixie, riding on a Harris Leather and Silverworks saddle. “I love riding in a Harris saddle because I deeply respect what the Harris family represents – strong family values and a tradition of excellence.”
We wish Nancy the best of luck with Hypnotizzed in the show pen this year and as a future sire.
