Ashley Dunbar-Clock of Highpoint Performance Horses Stepping Out on Her Own

Ashley Dunbar-Clock of Highpoint Performance Horses will be starting her own business starting December 1st. We wish her the best of luck.

After eight years at Highpoint Performance Horses, Ashley Dunbar-Clock is thrilled to announce that she will be going out on her own starting December 1. She will remain in North Texas and some of the existing Highpoint clients will be moving with her to her new facility.

“Jason and Charlie are downsizing, so it was time for me to decide what I wanted to do,” Ashley recalls. “I love training, so finding something else to do didn’t make sense. I have learned so much in my eight years at Highpoint. With the support and help of Jason and Charlie, I hope to create a successful business of my own.”

Dunbar-Clock, a multiple Congress and World Champion rider and coach, will be offering training and coaching in the all-around events. “I will continue to teach non-pros as I enjoy it and love watching them be successful. I will also like to have horses to continue showing in the open. I have enjoyed my success and hope to continue.”

Jason Martin, Charlie Cole, and Jeff Mellott have nothing but praise for Ashley and her abilities.

“Ashley is very talented and dedicated,” Jason says. “I’m very proud of her and her accomplishments. She’s also a great personal friend. She treats me like a Select Novice,” Jason says with a laugh. “I’m going to miss her. She takes care of my horses and makes sure I know the pattern before I go into the arena. I believe it’s a win-win for everyone.  I’m excited for her future and glad to be part of helping her start her own business.”

“She has been an essential and integral part of Highpoint’s success for the last eight years,” Cole told us. “She brings so much to the table; exceptional riding, impeccable organization skills, and a great attitude to work with others. I am excited to see her go out on her own, and I know she will be very successful. And I look forward to cheering her on and continuing our friendship.”

Jeff Mellott echoes the same sentiments. “We are going to miss Ashley. She took care of us. She loves the horses in her care and takes care of them as if they are her own. She has a tremendous work ethic and is always on top of things. Ashley treats people kindly and with a great amount of respect. We have no doubt that she will be successful going out on her own.”

Dunbar-Clock has some impressive titles to her name, including a World Championship title in both the Junior and Senior Trail at the AQHA World Show. In addition, she continued to have multiple top ten placings as a rider and coach at the AQHA World Show, Congress and NSBA World Show.

“I have learned so much over the years and have soaked in every little bit of what I have learned at Highpoint, and I can’t be thankful enough for all the opportunities and trust they have shown me over the years. I’m excited about this new adventure. I also can’t say enough about how supportive my husband Cody Clock has been with everything, including being a single dad to our ten-year-old son at times! So, I look forward to them coming and supporting me.”
