Honoring Excellence – NSBA Recognizes Industry Leaders at Award Banquet

Bruce Vickery was honored as one of the newest members of the NSBA Quarter Million Dollar Club. See all of the latest inductees here. Congratulations to all!

The National Snaffle Bit Association recognized some of the top names in the industry Sunday evening during the NSBA Honors Award Banquet. The association’s newest Quarter Million Dollar riders, Horse of the Year, Hall of Fame, Jack Benson Award, President’s Award and Youth of the Year were all named during the ceremonies.

Quarter Million Dollar Inductee – Blake Weis

Blake Weis, of Pilot Point, Texas, is one of two All Around Open riders who joins NSBA’s Quarter Million Dollar Club in 2022. He has proven his mettle on a variety of world champions, Superhorse title winners and Horse of the Year award winners, including Snap Krackle Pop, Lover Treat Me Good, Dun ItOn The Range, VS Heart Stopper, Aint Gota Lot, Dont Think Twice, Daddy Doesnt Know, Cool Cruzen Lady, Hot Lopin Lily, Snap It Send It and Snippity Snap.

Quarter Million Dollar Inductee – Bruce Vickery

Bruce Vickery (pictured main), of Pilot Point, Texas, joined Black Weis as the newest members of the Quarter Million Dollar Club from the All Around pen, earning most of his lifetime earnings in Trail and Western Riding. He has consistently been at the top of the NSBA point standings in Open Trail and Western Riding. Just a few of the horses he has seen success with include Zipschocolateimpulse, Signature Absolute, Suddenly Im Cool, Extremely Good Stuff, Cutelicious, Pretensioso, Strawberri Wine, Wouda Coulda Shoulda, Investin A Goodbar, Eye On The Ball, Wine After Whiskey and Whats The Good Word.

Show Horse Of The Year – Hot Lopin Lily

Double registered AQHA and APHA mare Hot Lopin Lily has only been showing for two years, but created quite the seasoned show career in a short time. She earned more than $34,000 and 108 points to win the title in Western Pleasure, Trail, Western Riding and Performance Halter Mares. Among her accomplishments include champion, A Sudden Impulse Three Year Old and Older Maiden Trail; NSBA world championships in Green Junior Western Riding, Color Green Trail and BCF Futurity Color 4-6 Year Old Non-Pro Trail; champion, The Championship Show All Age Green Trail; and champion, Southern Belle Breeders Five and Under Open Western Riding Futurity at the AQHA World Championship Show.
