Carrie Warren Purchases NSBA World Champion Wine After Whiskey

Congratulations to Carrie Warren on purchasing Wine After Whiskey. We look forward to seeing this new team in the show arena.

GoHorseShow would like to congratulate Carrie Warren of Greensboro, North Carolina, on the purchase of NSBA World Champion Wine After Whiskey. The 3-year-old mare is by Extremely Hot Chips and out of Congress Champion Only Ever After.

Warren recently purchased her new partner at the Arizona Sun Circuit. “We hit the ground running, and I can’t wait to grow together and expand into more classes with her this year. My trainer, Bruce [Vickery] will also be debuting her in the trail.”

Last year, this talented mare came to Vickery Performance Horses as a two-year-old. Bruce teamed her up with Megan Waldron, where they went on to win the 2-Year-Old Open BCF Limited Open Hunter Under Saddle and were Reserve in the 2-Year-Old Non-Pro Hunter Under Saddle at the NSBA World Show.

“We are so excited about her future,” Carrie told us. “Bruce called me about a week ago because we had been talking about getting an all-around prospect for me, but because I love to do the hunt seat, he was looking for a very special horse. Then, in his barn, this amazing opportunity came available, and he immediately thought we would be a great fit.”

Carrie adds, “She is such a kind, willing and smart horse. This will be a super fun journey. I am so grateful for Bruce and Anthony and all they do for both my daughter Hannah, and myself.”

Bruce Vickery talked about how he came about making this match.

“When Carrie and I talked about the possibility of finding an all-around horse, or potential all-around horse that could also do hunter under saddle, I knew that it would not be an easy task,” Vickery shared. “But, when this mare became available, I knew it would be the perfect combination. She is such a beautiful mover, but is also amazing-minded. She has so much talent, and I feel that she has unlimited possibilities in multiple events. This is truly an exciting venture, and I couldn’t be happier for Carrie.”
