More VS GoodRide Candids from APHA World Show

The APHA World Show is in full swing with the youth classes underway. The show runs through October 4 at Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas where over $1.25 Million will be awarded in cash and prizes.

New this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the AjPHA World Show was combined with this show since it was postponed from earlier this year. From now on, APHA has planned to keep all the world shows combined going into next year and have one big show going forward.

Some highlights include Kaylynn Heitman and her brand new partner, Monie Man who were named unanimous World Champions in Novice Youth Western Riding.

“It was her first time EVER showing a Western Riding pattern,” Kaylynn’s Mom, Jeana told us in disbelief. “She had never even done a full pattern, just pieces. Carly (Veldman) was explaining the pattern to her as she was going up the chute.”

Kaylynn followed up this win with another World Championship title just hours later in the Hunt Seat Equitation 18/under aboard One Lazy Cowboy.

Also, Collin Froman and Beckys Last Gal took home the win in the Novice 13&U Showmanship and were also reserve in the 13&U class and named Intermediate Champions. Collins’s mom, Vanessa said that this was his fourth showmanship pattern ever with her horse, Beckys Last Gal. Froman told us that her trainer, Jenell Pogue taught both Becky and Collin showmanship from the ground up. “I’m so proud of her for building this team.”

Froman adds, “Collin said he’s getting Becky her own order of french fries to eat tonight. I’m so happy, because of distance learning, our whole family was able to come and witness this blessing. Just wish my mom and sister could have been here. I know my dad was watching over him from heaven.”

For the past few days, top equine photographer Terri Cage has taken some candids at the show.
