Aaron and Courtney Moses Partner with Kim Dean to Purchase World & Congress Champion Sire LL Cool Bay

Congratulations to Aaron and Courtney Moses and Kim Dean on purchasing this up-and-coming sire from Crane Quarter Horses.

Aaron and Courtney Moses have partnered with Kim Dean to purchase World Champion Sire LL Cool Bay from Crane Quarter Horses. They are excited to stand him under Kim Dean and Breeding Manager Kimberly Howard at Manion Ranch in Pilot Point, TX.

“We decided to purchase LL Cool Bay after riding several of his babies,” Aaron told us. “We have been very impressed with their talent and trainability and are very excited about the opportunity to have more ‘Cool Bay’s’ in our program in the future.”

LL Cool Bay is a 2005 bay Stallion by A Good Machine and out of the great show mare Zippo Erin (Res. World Champion/Congress Champion). “Cool Bay” is the earner of over $6,500 and was Top Ten in the Congress Masters with Cleve Wells. He is a multiple AQHA and NSBA World and Reserve World Champion sire and numerous Congress Champion sire.

The bay stallion is the sire of AQHA Reserve World Champion, AQHA L2 World Champion and Congress Champion – Cool Poco Dot (pictured below), Congress Reserve Champion – Two Legit To Quit, Cool Shoes Zippo, who has nearly 200 AQHA Points, Cranes Unseen Machine, AQHA High Point Level 1 Open Senior Western Pleasure Horse and most recently sired 2020 NSBA World and BCF Champion IsThatCoolWithYou.

“After owning Cool Bay’s sire, A Good Machine, I jumped at the chance to partner with Aaron and Courtney on Cool Bay,” Kim Dean told us. “A Good Machine has had some amazing sons who have become some of the top sires in our industry. As most people know, Cool Bay happens to be my all-time favorite son. He sires pretty, slow legged, deep hocked, cool minded, talented babies.”

Dean says she got to watch Courtney show IsThatCoolWithYou, a two-year-old gelding by Cool Bay, at the NSBA World Show just a few weeks ago where they were named NSBA Reserve World Champions and NSBA BCF Champions.

“I heard from Courtney that the Crane’s might be willing to sell Cool Bay, and they were interested in buying him.  A few days later, we talked about the possibility of partnering on him, and for me, it was a no-brainer decision.  When you have a proven sire like Cool Bay, adding Aaron and Courtney to the mix is just a dream combination. We’ll be offering some fantastic breeding deals over the next few months and are looking forward to breeding some great mares this upcoming breeding season.”
