GoMag: July AQHYA World Show Issue Online Now

Wow! The July AQHYA World Show issue of GoMag is up and it's one of the best issues ever.

The year 2020 has brought more twists and turns than anyone could have ever predicted. What doesn’t come as a surprise is how excited people are for the upcoming big summer shows. We are very happy to report that the July issue of GoMag is one of our biggest and best Youth World Show issues in our company history. This great issue features many top teams competing at the AQHYA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City and includes both 13 and under and 14 -18 year-old AQHYA World Championship Show exhibitors. Unlike past years, this year also includes those competing in Level 1 classes which were added when the 2020 AQHA Level 1 Championships were cancelled.

If the July AQHYA World Show Issue of GoMag is any indication, our horse show world is extremely resilient and the future of our industry is very bright. Whether it’s a first trip through the Gateway of Champions, or another year down the chute for a Youth World Show veteran, this event is an experience filled with treasured memories that these kids will never forget. We wish each of them the very best of luck.

GoHorseShow is thrilled to have 12-year old Emma Gore featured on the July AQHYA World Show cover of GoMag. Emma, who is from Mount Vernon, Ohio, has an impressive lineup going into the AQHYA World Show. She plans to show Krymsun N Gold in the western pleasure, horsemanship, western riding, trail and equitation, Assets Agenda in the hunter under saddle, Hes Suddenly Handsome in the showmanship, and KM Genuinely Best in the trail.

“We are excited about the Youth World with Emma. We believe she has a great chance to continue her incredible success from last year,” says Judd Paul, Emma’s trainer at IronGate Quarter Horses with his wife, Jennifer Paul.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Emma has been fortunate to be able to ride her horses every day. “I feel pretty prepared. I have some new partnerships, so I have not shown them a lot but have been blessed to have a lot of barn time.”

Her all-around horse, Krymsun N Gold is 16 and, until December of 2019, was a stallion. The family decided to geld him due to the passing of Emma’s show mare, My Only Good Shoes (pictured above). “King (Krymsun N Gold) has willingly done everything I have asked of him and more,” Emma told us. “He loves treats and endless attention.”

Emma says that Assets Agenda is the “same every day, comes out and does her job. She loves cherry turnovers as a treat after a good class. Hes Suddenly Handsome is very lazy and does not like to work very hard (laughs), and KM Genuinely Best is a new partner that I am showing in the trail. I hope to add more classes in the future. He loves treats too.”

Emma said her most significant accomplishment last year was winning the 13 & Under Horsemanship at the Youth World and having an unbelievable Congress. “I hope I have the opportunity to repeat my success from last year and add a couple more globes.”

She adds, “This past year has been one of the best and hardest of my life. I had to put down my mare “Dottie”, My Only Good Shoes. We wish they could live forever, but sometimes their life is way too short. I will be eternally grateful for Dottie and everything she taught me and helped me achieve. And I am very blessed that King was able to step in and help me continue to achieve my goals and reach for my dreams.”

Best of luck to Emma and everyone at this year’s Youth World.
