About the Cover

The January Stallion issue of GoMag features the stunning four-year-old black stallion, Makin Me Willy Wild, who is owned by Debbi Trubee and Roger Landis of North Farm. Affectionately known as Geoffrey, the stallion is by Winnies Willy and out of Wildly Available. His mother is also the dam of Only Rave Reviews, Avalablebyinvitation and She Had Me At Hello, all Congress or World Champions.

“Geoffrey is her fourth foal that has achieved the honor of being a Congress or World Champion,” Trubee states. “She’s by Pass The Asset and out of a daughter of Dont Skip Charlie making him a fabulous outcross for so many mares.”

Another huge bonus about Geoffrey is that he is excellent minded. “He is absolutely the kindest horse we have ever been around,” Trubee shares. “There isn’t a time when you walk up to his stall that he doesn’t greet you with his ears forward and he’s happy to see you. He’s so natural when he goes around and it’s just effortless for him.”

As if his talent and disposition were not enough, Makin Me Willy Wild is the total package including gorgeous looks and conformation. Without a doubt, the 15.2 hand black stallion has the “it factor.”

We asked Trubee when she knew that he was special. “We knew Geoffrey was extra special right from the start.  He was the perfect made baby, and when he loped next to his mama, it would just make your jaw drop. The fact that he’s stunning and black was icing on the cake.”

In 2018, he was campaigned by Kenny Lakins in the Three-Year-Old Futurities and Junior Western Pleasure. Some of his 2018 accolades include NSBA World Champion Performance Halter Stallions, NSBA Reserve World Champion Three-Year-Old Open Western Pleasure, Congress Champion Performance Halter Stallions Limited and sixth in the Congress Junior Western Pleasure. In 2017, he was Top 5 in the Congress 2 Yr Old Maiden Open Western Pleasure Futurity.

Trubee adds, “We are truly overwhelmed with the response we’ve had for Geoffrey and we’re looking forward to seeing some beautiful babies in the future.”

Makin Me Willy Wild is standing to a limited book. His 2019 Breeding Fee is $1,500. Last year, North Farm did two test breeds of Geoffrey, and they are anxiously waiting for his first foal to be born in early January. For more information, contact Debbi Trubee at dobrien110@aol.com.
