Capall Creek Farm Announces New Training Partnership – Hutchinson Performance Horses

Kevin and Amy Smith are thrilled to announce that Kelby Hutchinson and Kaitlin LeBlanc will be forming Hutchinson Performance Horses LLC starting the end of this month and working out of Capall Creek Farm. The newly engaged couple plan to focus on young futurity prospects in both the pleasure and the hunt seat, as well as coaching non pro customers.

The pair come from working under distinguished training programs such as Starnes Quarter Horses (Jay and Kristy Starnes) and Masterson Farms LLC (Casey Willis and Blair Townsend). While working under these programs, the two have achieved multiple futurity wins at shows such as Tom Powers, Show For Dough, The Little Futurity and the Breeders Championship Futurity. They have earned such titles as NSBA Reserve World Champions, Quarter Horse Congress Top Three and Congress multiple Top Tens.

“We cannot thank Kevin and Amy Smith enough for the opportunity to work out of their facility and entrust their horses with us,” said Kaitlin. “Kelby and I have been so fortunate to work for some great people thus far in our careers and we are excited to take the next step in beginning our own program. Thank you to Starnes Quarter Horses, past customers and everyone who has helped us along the way. We can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

“We are very happy to welcome a young, talented couple to our farm,” said Amy Smith. “We have been looking for the right fit for quite some time and believe we have found a great match in Kelby and Kaitlin. Kevin and I look forward to them working with us, as well as our daughter Paige, while bringing in clients to the farm as well.”

Hutchinson Performance Horses will be operating out of the beautiful Capall Creek Farm in Hampstead, North Carolina. The facility has 32 stalls, large outdoor arena, covered round pen, hot walker and turn outs. Melanie Thurston is the farm  and breeding manager and can be reached at (207) 514-4790.
