Purchase your tickets for one of the most exciting events of the year! The AQHA Awards Celebration is November 11 at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.

AQHA announced last fall that the 2017 ceremony would coincide with the 2018 Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show, also in Oklahoma City. 

The AQHA Awards Celebration will honor the 2017 AQHA All-Around Amateur; AQHA All-Around Junior Horse; AQHA All-Around Senior Horse; Markel All-Around Youth; the top open, amateur and Equestrians With Disabilities year-end high-point winners; the top 30-&-Under, 31 to 49 and Select Justin Boots Intermediates of the Year; AQHA Exhibitor of the Year; Don Burt AQHA Professional Horseman of the Year; AQHA Professional Horsewoman of the Year; and Most Valuable Professional.

Each award winner received one free ticket for the Awards Celebration. Award winners were mailed and emailed additional information about their complimentary ticket and how to purchase more tickets. Attendees of the AQHA Awards Celebration will have the opportunity to enjoy hors d’oeuvre and beverages, courtesy of Oklahoma Convention and Visitors Bureau and State Fair Park; watch the “Oscar-style” awards presentation; and listen to live entertainment, presented by Michael Murphy’s Dualing Pianos. This is sure to be a night you won’t want to miss!

“This awards ceremony is a celebration of and a spotlight on all the hard work, time and dedication our members and American Quarter Horses put in throughout 2017 to earn these prestigious titles,” said Pete Kyle, AQHA chief show officer. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase these individuals and their American Quarter Horses in Oklahoma City during one of our most prestigious shows of the year.”

The Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show schedule is being modified to allow exhibitors and their connections time away from the show for the celebration on November 11. The show’s scheduled start time on Monday, November 12, is also being adjusted to accommodate for the celebration the evening before.
