Kimes Kandids & Go-To Place for Level 1 East Championships

The AQHA Level 1 East Championships got underway on Wednesday, May 2nd and is running through the 6th in Wilmington, Ohio. Rookie and Level 1 are the two levels of AQHA competition designed for beginners to minimally accomplished competitors, respectively. The Level 1 Championships were designed to celebrate the accomplishments of these riders and their horses in an environment that provides education and fun competition.

All Level 1, Rookie and Walk/Trot-eligible competitors are able to compete and earn championship honors at an AQHA Level 1 Championship. Qualifier invitations were not mailed out this year, instead eligible exhibitors can fill out an entry form at www.aqha.com/level1championships. Level eligibility is based on both points and awards earned. Level point ranges are designed to group horses and riders with their peers of similar experience and points earned. Level 1 eligibility is as of January 1, 2017 while Rookie eligibility is as of January 1, 2018. Click on the “Go To” Links below.

The AQHA Level 1 Championships feature walk-trot classes; Rookie classes, sponsored by B&W Trailer Hitches; and Level 1 classes. The shows offer a variety of events and activities for competitors, friends, family and spectators to take part in throughout the show, including free Ride the Pattern clinics taught by AQHA Professional Horsemen. The Level 1 Championships are intended for exhibitors to learn and grow in the show arena while sharpening their horsemanship skills. The shows provide a safe environment for AQHA members to be showcased in a championship arena and to compete to earn prizes and accolades for their dedication.
