Go To Place for 2017 NSBA World Show

The 12th annual NSBA World Championship Show launched into action today, August 12, 2017, in Tulsa, Oklahoma’s Expo Center. Exhibitors lined outside the show office beginning at 6:30 am, anxious to receive their entries and prepare to ride in one of the industry’s most prestigious arenas. Coupled with the AQHA Show Your Colors show held August 12-13th, the NSBA World Championship will officially begin Sunday, August 13th.

Exhibitors’ spirits are high with excitement for the week to come, as they compete for over $1,000,000 in cash and prizes. With a total of 2168 AQHA entries alone, the show begins on a high note, and will only continue to climb as the week progresses.

In addition to Show Your Colors and the World Championship Show, NSBA is hosting numerous events worth the ever-present anticipation. The Breeders Championship Futurity, designed for horses nominated as yearlings who may compete until their 6-year-old year, will take place at various times during the show’s entirety and will feature a competitive display of horses in a variety of disciplines and ages.

The NSBA Foundation also announced that Taya Kyle, wife of former Navy Seal, Chris Kyle will be joining the NSBA team to honor military veterans in NSBA’s Heroes On Horses, a slate of classes intended for veterans who are in rehabilitative equine programs to compete either supported or independently. Veterans compete on Saturday August 20th.

The Markel Insurance Breeders Championship Futurity Yearling Sale Preview will be August 17th in the Super Duty Arena at 5:00 pm and the sale will take place on Friday, August 18th at 4:00 pm. Bidders are welcome both in Tulsa and online.

Away from the competition of the arenas, a celebration will commence at the NSBA Year End Awards Ceremony, Wednesday, August 16th, at the Double Tree Hotel and will include the Hall of Fame and Quarter Million Dollar Club Presentation.

Outside of the arena, exhibitors and spectators alike will enjoy a wide variety of vendors supplying top of the line fashion, tack, and equine supplies. Located across the show office, the NSBA Foundation is displaying the 2017 Annual Silent Auction, featuring items such as a getaway to New York City for Fashion Week, a gift certificate for 25 bags of shavings for the 2017 All American Quarter Horse Congress, Kennedy Space Center Astronaut Training, a Rawhide Bosal with Mecate and much more.

As the NSBA World Championship Show continues to unfold in the next week, exhibitors and spectators are guaranteed to experience great riders, talented horses, and even greater moments that will lead to life long memories they will cherish for years to come.
