Invited To The Dance Donated to Ohio State University

Vanessa Froman of Sawyer, Michigan has announced the donation of her stallion, Invited To The Dance, to Ohio State University. Invited To The Dance, (Warren), is a 16’1 hand 2009 Homozygous Tobiano stallion by Invited Back (sired by Willy Be Invited) and out of a Principle Investment mare.

“I have decided to downsize and get out of the breeding business,” Froman told us. “He will be used for educational purposes – teaching students how to collect semen, etc. Also, the university plans to breed some of their mares as well as outside mares to him.”

Warren carries the bloodlines of some of the best quarter horses in the show pen – Invitation Only, Willy Be Invited, and Principle Investment, along with the promise of color since he is homozygous. Warren combines strong breeding with size, disposition, and movement.

In his first foal crop, Warren’s offspring, Reddy To Dance, placed in the Top 10 at the APHA World Show. He also had two foals on two different honor rolls last year.

Froman has been involved with horses ever since birth. Vanessa’s parents, Dennis and Diane Kliemchen, actually met at a horse show.

With her former show horses, Froman has been on the APHA Showmanship honor roll, Top Five at the Zone shows, multiple APHA World Show top ten finishes, an APHA honor roll champion, and PtHA World Top Tens.

“I have decided to focus more on my show career and plan to downsize to just a few horses,” Vanessa told us. “Breeding took away too much time from my family, and, this way, I am now able to pick and choose the shows I will attend and not miss out on family events.”

Froman is excited about his potential in helping the university and picked OSU because it is not too far from her home, so she can visit him. Warren will be at the Ohio State University ATI Equine Center located in Apple Creek, Ohio.

“It was super easy dealing with OSU,” Froman explained. “They were very receptive to his needs. I wanted a place where he would be let out in the pasture to be a horse. He is kind and quiet, and he is passing along his willing disposition to his foals. The icing on the cake is that he is homozygous, so no solid foals. I think he will be a great asset to their program, and they were very appreciative of the gift.”

According to Froman, Invited To The Dance’s 2018 foals will be eligible for the APHA Breeder’s Trust program.

We wish Vanessa the best of luck on her next chapter in the horse industry.
