March GoMag Spring Shows Issue Now Online

Spring is in the air and the March issue of GoMag is a celebration of all things spring. While many people celebrate Spring Break, St. Patrick’s Day or college basketball’s March Madness, in the horse world we celebrate breeding season, babies being born and being able to show at some of the biggest events of the entire year.

The cover for this issue features leading AQHA World Champion sire, Allocate Your Assets.  Kathy Tobin’s stunning bay stallion stands at Jim and Deanna Searles’ Circle S Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona. Scottsdale is also home to one of the largest Quarter Horse shows of the year, the Arizona Sun Circuit which runs March 4-12 at Westworld.

About the Cover

Featured on our March GoMag cover is the legendary sire, Allocate Your Assets. “Al” has sired multiple AQHA World and Reserve World Champions, Congress Champions, NSBA World Champions and winners at every major event across the country. His oldest foals are 11 years old and from 189 performers, they have earned over 8,000 AQHA Points and over a half a million dollars in NSBA Futurity earnings.

Owned by Kathy Tobin, a longtime customer of Jim and Deanna Searles, Allocate Your Assets stands at the Searles’ Circle S Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona. Al has become one of the premier hunter under saddle breeding stallions.

“I believe he is such a great sire because he stamps his foals with his great mind and movement. He is very consistent in passing these traits down,” Tobin states. “I can always pick out his foals because they have a long floating trot and a flat kneed canter, plus they seem to handle whatever comes their way. Old and very young riders can ride even his young foals.”

Some of his famous offspring include Al Be Sweet On You, Al Wana Be First, Lyles Al Lie, Al I Want Is You, Al Be Graceful, She Says Aloha, Al E Hondro, Blameitonthealcohol, Al Be Your Sweet Art, Alonzo Mourning and Pretty Assets (pictured below) to name a few.

While Al is considered one of the premiere hunter under saddle sires, he is also breeding top all around horses and others venturing into the jumping events. “It is exciting to see his offspring show in events like the western riding and working hunter,” Deanna Searles told us. “Trainers want to breed to him because they are very trainable. He is just one of those special sires.”

Tobin adds, “I want to thank all the mare owners that have bred to Al over the years and to thank all the trainers and their customers who have put their trust, hope and dreams into his foals in the show pen. Our very best wishes and best of luck to all.”

Allocate Your Assets’ breeding fee for 2017 is $3,000. His book will be limited to 50 outside mares. Contact Jim Searles for more information at 602-549-7332.
