On the cover of the January issue of GoMag is up-and-coming sire, The Lopin Machine. “Clyde” is a 2012 AQHA chestnut stallion sired by the late, great, A Good Machine and out of one of the all-time great show mares and producers, Hot Lopin Louise.  His dam is a three-time Congress Champion and out of one of the most prolific broodmares in the industry, Born Lopin.

North Farm, owned by Debbi Trubee and Roger Landis, is standing The Lopin Machine for the 2017 breeding season.  The Lopin Machine is a Congress Masters Champion as well as a Congress Reserve Champion in the Three Year-Old Western Pleasure.

“We are beyond excited to be a part of this outstanding stallion’s future and a huge thank you to Rawlings Enterprises, LLC and Starnes Quarter Horses for choosing us to stand their stallion,” Trubee told us.  “We think The Lopin Machine is one of the most exciting young stallions going.  His pedigree is unsurpassed with his dam being one of our industry’s greatest show and producing broodmares.  Clyde has such natural lift and self-carriage and we’re confident he’ll pass that along to his babies.”

The Rawlings family of Australia purchased Clyde at six months old.  Kristy Starnes says that her husband, Jay, knew immediately that Clyde was special.

TheLopinMachine_2014Congress Starnes “He had more self-carriage and presence than any foal we had ever seen.  He was very willing to please while training him up to be the 2014 Congress Masters Champion,” Kristy told us.  “We are hoping that his strong hock, level top line, and lift will be passed on to his foals.  We are all anxiously awaiting for them to arrive.”

The first two foals are due in early January, 2017.  One of those being out of Congress Champion BestDippedInChocolate and the other out of Flashin My Assets, who is the producer of the 2016 Congress Masters Champion.

“Clyde was bred to six Congress Masters Western Pleasure Champions or Masters Western Pleasure Champion producers,” Kristy told us.  “He was bred to an impressive list of mares for his first season, so we are excited to see the foals he can produce.”

The Lopin Machine’s stud fee for the 2017 season is $2,250.  Please contact Debbi Trubee at 740-815-3545 or via email dobrien110@aol.com.
