We are very proud to feature Lope Out The Doubt and Charlie Cole on the cover of the Congress issue of GoMag.  This talented five-year-old gelding is owned by Rick and Marijo Meredith of Sweetwater Farm in Granbury, Texas.

SweetTalkinJeannie_2006WorldChampion Joetta Meredith Bell Don Vicky Holt LauraHome bred by the Meredith’s, his dam is their multiple AQHA World Champion western pleasure, western riding, and showmanship mare, Sweet Talkin Jeannie (pictured right) and by Congress and World Champion, No Doubt Im Lazy.  Affectionately known as “Frank”, he is named after his sire’s owner, Lin Berris’ husband, Frank.

As a two-year-old, the Meredith’s sold Frank to Linda Lyda-Swenson where he placed fourth in the 2013 Congress Two-Year-Old Masters class.  “Frank was the hardest one for us to sell,” said Joetta (Meredith) Bell, who started him as a two-year-old.  “He is one of the best we’ve raised out of Jeannie and he reminds us all so much of his mother.  When we dropped him off, I literally cried for three days.”

The Meredith’s sadness was short-lived as they were able to lease him back his three-year-old year.  It was during this time they recognized Frank’s natural ability and talent for western riding.  “I taught him to change leads and go down the line in just two weeks,” Joetta recalls.  “I told my parents that he would be famous some day in the western riding.”

LopeOutTheDoubt Charlie Cole SuperlativeAfter many attempts, the Meredith’s were finally able to buy him back and decided to send him to Highpoint Performance Horses.

Frank and Highpoint are a match made in heaven.  Charlie Cole and Frank were Circuit Champions in the Green Western Riding at both the Sun Circuit and Silver Dollar in 2016.  They also rose to the occasion on the big stage of the 2016 NSBA World Championship Show and were crowned World Champion in the Junior Western Riding.

“Frank is an exceptionally talented horse and has so much ring presence,” Cole told us.  “I think he will be a famous horse with his great looks and movement.  I’m excited to show him this fall and into the future.”

“Frank has touched our hearts and we are very proud of him,” said owner, Rick Meredith.  “His movement and top line take my breath away.”

Watch for Cole and Frank at the Congress in Junior and Green Western Riding and Trail and at the AQHA World Show in the Junior Western Riding.
