Mackenzie Preston Signs on to Show AQHA with Purchase of Where Do I Sign

GoHorseShow would like to congratulate the Preston family of Kent, Washington on the purchase of the talented four year-old gelding, Where Do I Sign. Youth, Mackenzie Preston has plans to qualify “Tebow” for the 2017 AQHYA World Show in the western events. The stunning bay roan was bred by Kristen Galyean and is out of the legendary Vital Signs Are Good and by leading sire, Lazy Loper, making him a full brother to AQHA World Champion and 5-time Congress Champion, VS Flatline.

“I’m happy Tebow found a great home with a very talented rider,” says Charlie Cole, who owned the gelding through a partnership with Affinity Stables. “He is a super talented and fun horse to ride and show. He is very kind and trainable.”

Tebow started his show career at the 2016 Arizona Sun Circuit, where he was named the High Point Green Horse his first time shown. He was Reserve Circuit Champion in the Green Western Pleasure with Maggie Grandquist, Reserve Circuit Champion in the Green Trail with Jason Martin and Top Five in the Green Western Riding with Charlie Cole.

WhereDoISign Affinity StablesCole plans to continue showing him through the Silver Dollar Circuit in Las Vegas, and, then he will head to his new home in Washington. Cole says that if everything goes according to plan, he will show him at the NSBA World, Congress and AQHA World Show.

His new owner, Mackenzie Preston, who has mainly shown paints, was actually looking for a new APHA All-Around Horse, but was coming up empty in her search. Her all-around trainers, Michael Davis and Kip Larson of Larson Performance Horses suggested that the family consider a quarter horse.

Last week, Davis called Charlie Cole about horses he might have available and Charlie sent a photo and a brief video of the gelding. After liking what they saw, the next few days for the family were a whirlwind. The Preston’s had Tebow vetted on Thursday, and, then, they flew to Texas Friday night and rode and bought Tebow on Saturday.

“I don’t think it happens like that very often, but I believe it all worked out as it should,” says Mackenzie’s mother, Michelle. “Tebow will continue to be shown in western green events by Charlie, with the goal of qualifying for the AQHA World Show. It is our plan to bring Tebow home after the March Vegas show so Mackenzie can get to know him.”

“We are very excited to work with Highpoint Performance Horses and Larson Performance Horses to build on Tebow’s career and Mackenzie’s riding skills,” Michelle said. “Where Do I Sign is a beautiful, talented gelding from a great breeding and training program.”
