Rusty Green was in good company in the 2-year-old western
pleasure finals November 23 at the 2013 AQHA World Championship Show, but he
knew he had a shot at the gold trophy. He did, after all, have the
Bestseatnthehouse.
“I knew I had to be right on, but I knew I had a good horse
and I knew I had a shot to win,” Rusty told the Journal. “And that’s all you
can ever have.”
Just five months ago, Rusty and Katie, his wife and fellow
trainer, spied Bestseatnthehouse. The 2-year-old was in training with Brian and
Dawn Baker of Sunbury, Ohio, for owner-breeder Ken Masterson of Somerville,
Tennessee. Bestseatnthehouse is by Ken’s stallion RL Best Of Sudden and out of
Invited Always by Radical Rodder. Rusty and Katie helped arrange the purchase
of Bestseatnthehouse for owner Alexandra Chavez of Paradise Valley, Arizona.
