"Every year, we have been increasing the amount of semen we have been exporting to Europe, but this past season, we had a really amazing response," said Amy Gumz of Gumz Farms.
Europe's premier American Quarter Horse event just finished in Kreuth, Germany: the 21st European Championship of American Quarter Horses. More than 400 American Quarter Horses, as well as top riders from all over Europe attended the show. They competed in various disciplines for medals and European Champion honors.

Not only is Bell an accomplished horseman, artist, musician and new father...GoHorseShow's sales have nearly doubled since he joined our team a year ago. So when The American Quarter Horse Journal recently featured him in their July 2010 issue, we thought we would share it with our readers as well.

When did you fall in love with horses? Please let us know in the comments section of this article. Photo © Emily Peak Photography. (Photo: Emily Jo Peak)

Most of us got involved in the horse industry because we love horses. Sometimes this fact appears to be forgotten in the daily grind of training horses and cutthroat competition. Showing horses is seen more as a means to make money rather than an enjoyable way to relax, meet new friends, and revel in the company of your equine partner. We decided to ask various people in the industry how their horse obsession originated.

With the exception of Absolute Investment, every McWhirter consignment will be sold with no reserve. If Absolute Investment does not meet his reserve, he will continue to stand at Gumz Farms.

On Saturday, the 18th of September, 31 years of excellence at Dan McWhirter Quarter Horses will come to an end. The AQHA leading breeders will consign their great stallion, Absolute Investment, more than 80 selected broodmares, foals, yearlings and show prospects for their complete dispersal sale that will run in conjunction with the Nebraska Silver Classic Futurity.
