GoHorseShow is sad to report the passing of Don Trout after a long battle with cancer. According to his wife, Debbie, he passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 26, and he is now “pain free.”

From friend Brenda Hamer: Noted Horse Show photographer Don Trout has taken horse show photos of three generations of my family and hundreds of other families in the country. He is part of the horse show family for countless breeds and organizations.

To say that Don and his wife Debbie have had a couple of rough years is an understatement. Two car accidents including one that totaled their suburban and photo van was something they were trying to catch up from when Don got the diagnosis about his cancer spreading on his spinal column.

The horse show communities have been sending thoughts and prayers their way all year but as Don enters hospice care and Debbie is faced with the reality that her whole livelihood has stopped, it is time to do more.

After conferring with Kerri Garber, who lives in Texas and is helping Debbie now, the family has come up with an amount to help Debbie with medical bills, living expenses and some outstanding expenses to deal with the situation without worrying about getting bills paid.
