GoHorseShow Seeking Interns and Writers

Do you want to work for the hottest and most respected online publication in the industry?

GoHorseShow is seeking qualified, paid writers and unpaid interns who want to gain valuable experience while building a strong portfolio and making useful contacts. Currently, we have several outstanding writers who write for GoHorseShow, but we are looking for more writers to join our team.

Former interns have received college credit, gone on to work for associations such as AQHA, NSBA, and APHA, or landed a paid writing position at GoHorseShow.

Qualified candidates must have AQHA and/or APHA show experience and contacts, be well-written, responsible and have an excellent reputation in the industry. Freelance writing and/or internship time and commitment are negotiable and flexible.

Experience with writing assigned stories with a quick turnaround, competency with taking pictures, conducting interviews and meeting strict deadlines is a must.

Potential writers who attend major shows throughout the year, including the 2017 All-American Quarter Horse Congress, APHA, and AQHA World Shows are a huge plus. Writers could be assigned articles and other duties while at the show.

Please contact GoHorseShow Editor Laura Gilmer at laura@gohorseshow.com for more details. Please introduce yourself and provide a resume and writing samples. If you are looking for a paid position, you must already be an experienced published writer. If not, then you should apply for an internship to gain more experience.
