Seth Michael Marlatt, age 35, of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. Born September 6, 1981 in Greencastle, the son of Michael and Brenda (Adams) Marlatt and was a graduate of Greencastle High School “Class of 2000”.
Seth was a horse trainer having worked in Indiana, Texas, and Georgia for several years, and a DAC Dealer in horse supplement. He was a member of the Professional Horseman’s Assn, the National Snaffle Bit Assn, AQHA, and IQHA.
He is survived by his parents; aunts, Sue Ann (Rob) Stinson, Marie Borer, and Wanda (Kerry) Hutcheson, uncle, Jim Adams, several cousins, and his bulldog, Beans. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; an aunt, Donna Fay Myers, and his blue healer, Mercedes.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Little Walnut Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made in Seth’s memory to the National Snaffle Bit Assn Trainer Relief Fund 1391 St. Paul Ave. Gurnee, IL 60031.
