Final Fun In The Sun Champions Crowned

The third year of the Fun In The Sun NSBA All Breed horse show concluded with entries approximately even with 2016 numbers. “We had a great year,” said Tammy Schuster, who with Dean Bogart created the show.

“Since it was our third year, I think we worked things out so that it was the smoothest it’s ran yet. We tried to make it a great experience for exhibitors, with brunches and dinners and really nice prizes. Our sponsors, who were amazing, helped us make that happen.”

“The quality of the horses this year was outstanding,” added Dean Bogart. “The weather was perfect and we had support for our show from exhibitors from more distance than years past. We greatly appreciate all of the exhibitors who supported our show, the judges did a great job, and we had great support from the staff at Mark Harrell Horse Shows and the staff at Fox Lea Farm.

Western Pleasure

Lauren Louw showed She Will Be Hot for Gavin Patterson to win the Maturity Limited Open Western Pleasure.

“We’ve had her since last July,” Lauren said of the mare known as Adele. “She’s so strong and she has so much personality – she’s the sass queen. When she’s on, she’s on. She is so steady necked, big, pretty, and slow legged.”

Fun In The Sun Lives Up To Its Name

On a day when much of the country faced cold weather, the Fun In The Sun NSBA All Breed Show saw sunny skies and temperatures in the 60’s at Fox Lea Farm in Venice, Florida. The Way To Go caught up with several of the first day’s champions.
