Just off an outstanding Congress, Keith Miller and Pretty Assets (Lacey) continued their winning ways in the Junior Hunter Under Saddle Class at the AQHA World Show. With three firsts and a second in the finals, this team was the clear winner on Wednesday night.
“Lacey is a very special mare who gives us her all every time we hit the show pen,” Keith told us right after his win. Lacey who is by Allocate Your Assets is coming off an amazing Congress winning three Congress Championships and one Reserve.
While Miller has won the AQHA World Show before in the Senior Hunter Under Saddle with Air Ride Equipped, this is Keith’s first win in the Jr Hunter Under Saddle.
“I was beside myself,” says Lacey’s owner, Meghan Tierney about her mare’s win. “I’m at home at college right now, so I was watching in one of my late night classes over the live feed. I started crying and getting a lot of strange looks. I just kept thanking God. I am such a blessed person,” Meghan said. “Keith is the hardest working person I know, and no one deserves this win more than him.”
Up next for Lacey and Meghan is the Level 3 Amateur Hunter Under Saddle next week. “I am so excited to fly out and see my favorite girl,” Meghan said.
