Gumz Farms Welcomes Reserve World Champion, Hes Berry Blazin

Gumz Farms welcomes Reserve World Champion, Hes Berry Blazin to its 2017 line up. “Troy has a great pedigree, movement, and mind with the bonus of color!” Amy Gumz of Gumz Farms told us. The gorgeous palomino stallion is 5-panel negative and already siring winners with his first foal crop.

Hes Berry Blazin’s owner, Chris Coles of Sundancer Horses, LLC told us why she chose to move her stallion to Gumz Farms. “Amy was highly recommended to me by a number of people. Also, I really liked the look of her facility in Kentucky from the video she has posted on her website. I think Gumz Farms will be a really good fit for Troy.”

Troy has exceptional bloodlines as he was sired by the legendary Blazing Hot out of Miss Strawberry Walker, a multi-world champion producer. “He was one of her last foals and is the only one of her colts that remained a stud which makes him all the more special,” Chris told us. “He is homozygous (carries 2 copies) for the Agouti gene and he is heterozygous (carries 1 copy) for the cream dilution gene. His babies all appear to be very good minded and smart. They are large and have fantastic conformation and color.”

hes-berryChris adds, “He is incredibly special. He combines wonderful blood lines with being extremely smart and athletic. He has a great mind, and he enjoys learning new skills. Troy is currently in training with Robert Smith, cross-training in Ranch Pleasure as we are hoping to start showing him again next year after the breeding season.”

Some of Troy’s babies are already starting to hit the pen. So far three of Troy’s babies from his first two foal crops have been in the show ring. Last year, owner, Brandy Lee had Ikissedagirlnlikedit who placed in the Top 10 at the PHBA Palomino World Show in the Amateur Longe Line and Open Longe Line with Robert Smith.

This year at the PHBA Palomino World Show, Robert Smith showed A Cool Berry Blazin to a Top 10 finish in the Open Longe Line class, and his full sibling Shes So Berry Cool was Reserve World Champion in the NSBA/PHBA 2 Year Old Palomino Bred Western Pleasure class with Robert Smith in the saddle.

At the OPEA Go for the Gold show in Claremore, Oklahoma this year, Smith and Shes So Berry Cool was also Reserve Champion in this year’s Go For the Gold Two Year Old Western Pleasure class, Reserve Champion in the AQHA Two Year Old Western Pleasure class and Reserve Champion in the NSBA Two Year Old Western Pleasure class.

“We can’t wait to see what the future holds for both Troy and his babies,” Chris says.

Throughout the year, Chris will be posting  updates about Troy and his offspring on his Facebook Page. There is also a new offspring section on his website at where recent show results for his babies will be posted.

Hes Berry Blazin will be standing at the introductory rate of $1000. There are strong concessions to performing and producing mares. He is also participating in Gumz Farms’ Congress Special – which gives even a deeper discount. Check out their website for more details.

Troy also will be joining the 2017 lineup of Premier Quarter Sires stallions so once mares are nominated their foals resulting from his breedings will be eligible for some large cash show winnings.
