Beloved Friend and Show Manager George Kane Severely Beaten

GoHorseShow is sending get well wishes to beloved friend, family man and show manager, George Kane on a speedy recovery. Kane is known by many horse show folks in Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama. He’s judged many open shows in these states and has been show manager for a host of AQHA shows.

This past Saturday, he was severely beaten in his face and head, requiring numerous stitches and will require reconstructive surgery to include plastic surgery where pieces of flesh were ripped from his face. The healing process will be quite long.

2According to his friend Barbara Bugos, this all happened in front of his shop in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and from all accounts, people watched and did nothing. He has since closed his vacuum cleaner sales shop. He is the sole support of his family and so a GoFundMe account has been set up in his name to help with his medical expenses.

“George Kane is one of the kindest men to ever grace God’s earth, anyone who knows him, loves him; he’s always willing to help and is so much fun to be around,” Bugos told us. “People who know about this situation are absolutely heartbroken and just cannot understand how anyone could beat George or anyone for that matter. He is doing well under the circumstances. He is in a lot of pain and there is bruising, and swelling but on a high note he still has his a sense of humor. Prayers are most appreciated.”
