The Rock Candids and Results for 2016 NSBA World Championship Show

“NSBA has created an amazing event!” Jenna Dempze told us, who won the Three Year-Old Non Pro Western Pleasure class at the show with her horse, Special N I Know It. “I am blown away by the growth and popularity of the show since its first year in Tulsa. It is well run and offers classes for everyone. It has become a must attend world class event. I think the quality of horses and exhibitors truly resembled the best of the best. I feel blessed and honored to have won a title there.”

2016 marked the 11th annual NSBA World Championship Show located in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex. NSBA offered all-breed classes over seven days and pay out in excess of $500,000 in cash and prizes.

First time exhibitor Maegan Fleming, who showed her horse, Supermann to win multiple trophies at the show, told us. “I was so thrilled to be apart of this experience, the friendly atmosphere, great facilities, and doing what I love. This year I bought my first Quarter horse, and it has been an amazing ride. We were fortunate enough to be a NSBA World Champion at our first NSBA World Show. We will definitely be coming back.”

Rebekah Kazakevicius and her trainer, Beth Case won several classes with Rebekah’s horse, Not Just Anyhoo in the hunter under saddle events in Tulsa. Rebekah stated, “The NSBA World Show is definitely one of the highlights of the year. You get to see most of the futurity horses, and the numbers are huge. It is a great way to gauge where you are going into the Congress, where you need to focus, or things you need to work on.”

In addition to the World Show classes, the NSBA Breeders Championship Futurity and Stakes classes were offered.

“Every show is tons of fun with Miller Quarter Horses, but the NSBA World Show is one of my personal favorites,” Meghan Tierney told us, who had multiple wins with her horse, Pretty Assets. “I love how accommodating the office and show managers are. I really enjoy the EWD and the Heroes on Horses classes. It is truly an honor to to share our world show with them, and it definitely tugs on my heart strings. For such a high-caliber show, it has a very welcoming environment for all exhibitors. Most of all, I enjoyed competing alongside some of the best riders and horses. Congrats to all, Lacey and I will cherish the memories of the 2016 NSBA World Show until next year.”

Meg DePalma Whelan adds, “This years NSBA World show was the largest I’ve attended, a lot of new faces, larger classes and great horses. I personally had a great show. Both my boys, Sleepin and Hotroddin Ona Harley, did extremely well and are home getting several days of vacation.”
