Go View the May Fashion Issue of GoMag Online Now

We are pleased to unveil the third annual GoMag fashion issue featuring an assortment of businesses that help keep our industry leaders fashionable, both in and out of the show pen and keep you and your horse looking your best. Whether you need a custom made outfit, something off the rack, or are looking for that perfect consignment piece, you will find it all in this issue.

Jamie Hylton of Nokesville, Virginia is on the cover of the third annual May fashion issue of GoMag. Hylton recently posed for a fashion-focused photo shoot with photographer Holt Pope and is featured with her gorgeous sorrel horse, Rocked N Red in her one-of-a-kind Showtime jacket.

On a fun side note, we featured Abby Floyd and Hot And Dreamy on our very first GoMag fashion issue cover in May 2014. Fast forward two years and Abby is getting ready to compete as Miss Arkansas in the Miss USA Pageant on Sunday, June 5th in Las Vegas.  Good luck Abby!

Jamie is the perfect choice for the fashion issue cover due to her recent transformation into a horse show fashionista. Jamie recently lost over 220 pounds and found a new road to health and happiness.

“Losing the weight was really one of the best things I ever did,” Jamie told us. “Even after losing the weight, it took a while for me to mentally stop living like I was still a plus size 28. The ability to get back in the show arena and put on a gorgeous jacket in a size 2 has really helped boost my confidence.”

Jamie, an admitted shopaholic, loves to express herself through clothes and makeup, both in and out of the horse show arena. “One of my trademarks is a bright red lipstick because I think if a woman finds the right lipstick, it makes her feel like a queen. It’s all about presence. I also love bling – the more bling the better. Both my mother and I love to shop and I would like to thank her for all the emotional and financial support she has given me over the years.”

Jamie’s brother, George, recently remodeled her horse trailer to fit all of her fabulous horse show clothes. For a birthday present, he installed gorgeous cedar cabinets and boot racks to house all her clothes and boots.

Jamie feels that this program gives riders who may have taken a break the opportunity to ease back into showing without having to first show against top exhibitors.

“We always concentrate on having fun,” Jamie says. “It’s not only about the winning for us.”

At the Level 1 East Championships in Raleigh, Hylton will be showing Rocked N Red in the Amateur Western Pleasure and Horsemanship, Dance If U Wanna in the Novice Amateur and Rookie Hunter Under Saddle, and To Sleepy To Sparkle in the Amateur Performance Geldings. We wish Jamie the best of luck in 2016.
