Go View the February Stallion Issue of GoMag Online Now

The February 2016 issue of GoMag is GoHorseShow’s annual Stallion Issue.  No better time than to feature two of our industry’s most prominent stallions on the cover of GoMag.

Owned by the Glover/Galyean Partnership, VS Code Red and VS Flatline epitomize breeding success at its finest.  Their dam, the incomparable Vital Signs Are Good, has passed on her winning genes to these two champions who are now sires of champions. With multiple AQHA World Champion and Congress Champion titles to their long show resumes, and Champion titles to their offspring’s resumes, these two stallions are proving that the beat most certainly goes on.

The Beat Goes On…

VS CODE RED trot4x5VS Code Red made history as the first horse to win both the Open and Non Pro 2 Year Old Western Pleasure at the Congress shown by his non pro rider/owner, Kristen Galyean.  The son of Vital Signs Are Good made the natural progression to the western riding and two Congress Champion titles in the Western Riding, shown by Charlie Cole, along with NSBA World and Breeders Championship titles.

Proven in the show arena, VS Code Red is definitely making his mark as a sire. With only a few foal crops, he has an already enviable sire record. He has sired multiple futurity champions, NSBA and APHA World Champions and the 2015 Congress Masters Champion, VS Lady In Red.

With just two and a half years of showing in western pleasure and hunter under saddle events, “Waylon” foals have earned over 430 AQHA points and more than $40,000 in earnings.

Following in his hoofsteps, but making his own way, is younger brother, VS Flatline (pictured below).  He is a 5-time Congress Champion in Western Pleasure.  The AQHA World Champion in Two Year Old Western Pleasure followed up with NSBA World and Breeders Championships as a three year old.

VS FLATLINE lope4x5Destined for western riding as well, “Kobe” also carries many traits of his mother, the Queen of Western Riding, Vital Signs Are Good.  He was the 2015 Reserve Congress Champion in Junior Western Riding with a big score of 228.5.

With limited showing to accommodate a demanding breeding schedule, he has earned an AQHA Superior Award in Amateur Western Pleasure and was the 2014 AQHA Reserve High Point Western Pleasure Stallion.  His earnings have now exceeded $100,000.

Kobe’s first foals arrived in 2014, so they will be hitting the western pleasure futurities this summer and fall.  From first impressions, he is stamping his foals with strength, style and grace guided by a wonderful mind.

Both stallions stand at Highpoint Performance Horses in Pilot Point, Texas.  You can see foal photos on their Facebook pages.  Be sure to visit their websites at vscodered.com and vsflatline.com.
