Legendary Halter Sire, Mr Yella Fella Named to 2016 PHBA Hall of Fame

Fossil Gate Farms of Argyle, Texas is excited to announce that the late two-time AQHA World Champion and leading halter sire, Mr Yella Fella (Yella) will be inducted into the PHBA Hall of Fame. The legendary palomino stallion will be inducted at the annual convention in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in March of 2016.

“The Hall of Fame honor is a fitting tribute to this amazing stallion,” Linda Gordon states, who owned the stallion with her husband, Gary. “It’s important to note that Yella’s legacy lives on in flesh and blood inside and outside Fossil Gate Farms with numerous acclaimed halter horses and World Champions spanning the AQHA, PHBA, APHA and ABRA.”

Last year, the 19 year-old palomino halter stallion was euthanized due to a painful orthopedic condition. “He was a once-in-a-lifetime horse, and he had a great life at our farm,” Gordon states. “We built an entire 40 stall barn for his mares. He was special in that he stamped his foals with his trademark look and his legacy will carry on with his offspring.”
